University of Health Sciences Antigua Partners with Mount St. John’s Medical Center To Expand Clinical Experiences for Students
UHSA has filed for CAAM-HP accreditation. CAAM-HP is the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and other Health Professions and they are the legally constituted body established in 2003 under the aegis of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), empowered to determine and prescribe standards and to accredit programmes of medical, dental, veterinary and other health professions education on behalf of the contracting parties in CARICOM.
Prior to the start of the semester, we were honored to have Mrs. Lorna Parkins, the Executive Director of CAAM-HP, visit our campus. During the visit, Mrs. Parkins had a chance to get to know UHSA as she briefed us on the procedures of accreditation. The visit was very informative, and we are very confident that UHSA will earn CAAM-HP accreditation.
