Dr. Leticia Ubinas from the University of Health Sciences Antigua has been selected to present at the World Psychiatry Association International Meeting in Cape Town, South Africa this November. She will be presenting on Patient Welfare, Patient Autonomy and Social Justice. She will also be conducting a survey on mental illness, a validated and standardized instrument that will be applied with the authors authorization to as many participants as possible.
The WPA is an association of national psychiatric societies aimed to increase knowledge and skills necessary for work in the field of mental health and the care for the mentally ill. Its member societies are presently 138, spanning 118 different countries and representing more than 200,000 psychiatrists.
