University of Health Sciences Antigua Announces Partnership with Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago
CHICAGO – The University of Health Sciences Antigua is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, which will allow students to spend their fifth semester (16-weeks) dedicated to USMLE Step 1 preparation and completing an Advanced Introduction to Clinical Medicine course.
Beginning in the fall 2012 term, students will spend the first eight weeks of their fifth semester preparing for the USMLE Step 1, which includes live lectures provided by highly experienced faculty. The second half of the course is known as Advanced Introduction to Clinical Medicine. During the final eight weeks, students interact with patients and develop the skills required to complete diagnostic oriented physical examinations, History & Physical and SOAP notes.

Jackson Park Hospital & Medical Center is a 269-bed acute, short-term comprehensive care facility serving the south side of Chicago. The hospital serves a very high indigent population. Approximately 80 percent of the hospital’s patients are covered by Medicare and Medicaid.
