Practice in the USA and Canada

Our graduates are qualified to sit for the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLE) in the USA and the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) for Canadian medical licensure. This offers students the ability to gain residency and licensure throughout both countries.

The Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) assesses the readiness of international medical graduates to enter residency or fellowship programs in the United States. Our students and graduates are eligible to apply to ECFMG for ECFMG Certification and USMLE as a step towards receiving ECFMG certification, which is required for medical licensure in the United States.

Practice in the United Kingdom

Our graduates are qualified to sit for the Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board (PLAB) in the UK and General Medical Council (GMC) registration. When a doctor applies to join the UK medical register, the GMC ensures they meet the necessary standards to practice safely and provide high-quality patient care.

Our program is designed to meet the standards established by the GMC, ensuring full compliance with their guidelines for medical licensure.

Practice Globally

The UHSA Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree is globally recognized. However, it is essential for students to independently research and understand the specific licensure process and requirements for the country in which they intend to practice.
