The University of Health Sciences Antigua establishes an agreement with San Juan Municipal Hospital
The University of Health Sciences Antigua (UHSA) announces an agreement with San Juan Municipal Hospital, San Juan, PR, enabling UHSA students to perform continued clinical training in Puerto Rico.
“The new clinical sites offer placement for all students, but especially for those who hail from Puerto Rico and would like to continue their clinical training closer to home,“ said Dr. Manuel Flores, Provost for UHSA. “In addition, given that the hospital has several excellent residency programs, including Internal medicine, Pediatrics, and OB/GYN, clinical placements could also lead to excellent opportunities for residencies for our students.”
UHSA students in their third and fourth years of medical school can complete clerkships at San Juan Municipal Hospital. The hospital’s residency programs are approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), which is responsible for accrediting graduate medical education training programs.
